Memories of our favourite Post Pals event
This time 4 years ago we held a Christmas weekend for some Post Pals families.
Families checked into Safari hotel at Chessington World of Adventures and spent the morning in the park. In the afternoon all the children visited Father Christmas and he asked them all what they would like for Christmas. Afterwards we all gathered to decorate gingerbread houses together.
In the evening we gave lots of glow things to the families to have fun with before disappearing as we still had things to do!
In the morning we set up a little party. The children were in their party outfits and I will always remember Ebonie peering into the window desperate for the party to start! We all had face painting except for Sophie who decided she wanted her feet painted instead but kept wriggling and giggling as it was tickling! We did some Christmas crafts and played Christmas party games which were lots of fun but they were suddenly interrupted by Mrs Claus and her helpers with lots of luggage trolleys. Every child had a sack with their name on and with Christmas magic the gift the child had asked Father Christmas for just the afternoon before was in the sack. The happy squeals were so loud and all the children were over the moon with their gifts and started playing straight away. One of my favourite videos is of Ebonie dancing to the Christmas music with her karaoke machine!
The parents had treats too
Kennedy was in hospital and was unable to attend so her sack was delivered to her by one of the families
Lots of happy memories!
