November Extra Smiles Projects

This month we decided to embrace in a Christmas style theme for the pals Extra Smiles Project. We decided to wait and send the children’s gifts towards the very end of November to encourage them to start to try and embrace in Christmas. The Extra Smiles Team sent out three types of gift depending on what was most suited to each individual pal. Our first idea was a melting snowman putty set whereby the child models a snowman which later melts and then the child is able to rebuild it over and over again. This sure went down a hit with our pals!!! We even had an amusing story whereby one of the snowmen melted into the carpet as he was forgotten about…Whhoopps! Secondly, we sent out a crystal penguin set whereby a scientific reaction occurs and the penguin grows special crystals. Our pals found this a very fun activity to do and thoroughly enjoyed watching the penguin change. Finally, our remaining pals were sent out a selfie Christmas photo shoot set. This was a great idea particularly for our older pals. One of our pals even used their photo set to take Christmas selfies in hospital with the hospital staff! Needless to say, all the above gifts went down an absolute storm with our pals and helped to create many smiles during the lead up to Christmas. A massive ‘Thank You’ to everyone who has and continues to support Post Pals. Your support means that we are able to run monthly Extra Smiles Projects like this which truly make a difference to our pals. When the postman knocks the door with a monthly surprise gift, it is enough to ‘create sunshine on a rainy day’ for all of our pals so THANKYOU!!
