Quilted Blanket Project

The Extra Smiles Team have been working very hard since July ’15 to allocate homemade quilted blankets to every pal listed on our Post Pal website. Quilted blankets help to provide a source of comfort, familiarity and warmth to our pals. Each quilt allocation is unique in the sense that every quilt is chosen or even especially handmade and designed to fit the child’s specific interests and personality. We find that our pals particularly like to take their quilted blankets with them during hospital stays as it is something that is familiar and personal to them. We have been working very closely with a dedicated volunteer organisation called Project Linus UK to help fulfil our quilted blanket mission. Please can we say a very special thank you to all the volunteers at Project Linus UK who have helped to organise and make quilted blankets for every single one of our pals. Without your help, we would have not been able to source so many quilts for our pals so a very BIG thank you!! This is another fine example of Post Pals creating ‘Extra Smiles’ for our severely ill pals. #ExtraSmiles #WorkForACause
