Story Written in 2013

Hugo had a tummy ache for a couple of weeks, we got it checked out by the GP when it first started and we were told it was a viral infection. Two weeks later he was still complaining on and off of tummy ache so we took him back to the GP where we were told his liver felt enlarged and they wanted us to go straight to our local hospital. They did lots of tests and scans which discovered he had a few lumps in his liver. We were then referred to Great Ormond Street, they did a biopsy and discovered it was in fact hepatoblastoma. He started chemo a few days later. He is currently on the list for a liver transplant.

 

Update 2nd May 2023

After waiting for a liver transplant, Hugo got his call this morning and is currently in theatre having his liver transplant.
